When we talk about skin, we know that it changes all the time. It may look one way one day and then another the next. We live in an ever-changing environment and that actually has quite a bit to do with what makes our skin look shiny and then dull. If you have noticed that your skin does not have its usual glow, these may be some of the causes!
1) Pollution
One cause of dull skin can be the environment around you. The toxicity of pollution could dull your skin. According to experts, the small toxic particles from carbon monoxide or nitrogen oxide emissions can block your pores and reduce the amount of oxygen in your skin. For this reason you have to make sure to wash your skin every night before going to bed.
2) Not Enough Antioxidants
Not getting enough antioxidants from your diet can also lead to dull skin. But the other problems of oxidative stress can be dark spots, sagging, loss of collagen, wrinkles, and dryness.
Try to eat foods rich in antioxidants such as broccoli, green tea, artichokes, or garlic.
3) Stress
Isn't it crazy that stress can cause our skin to look different? When you are stressed, blood flow is removed from your skin and without circulation you will also have more inflammation. Try to get away from daily stress, try some meditation or the very beneficial breathing exercises.
4) Dehydration
Dehydration can be another culprit for this skin condition. While not drinking enough water over time can make your skin appear less shiny, drinking more won't necessarily do anything. A good cream to moisturize your skin will be your best ally to improve your dull skin.
Without a doubt, our skin is a clear reflection of how we are on the inside. Eating well and exercising are undoubtedly great allies when it comes to having luminous and good-looking skin.
